The news: Kate Middleton visited the London set of Downton Abbey on Thursday (#breaktheinternet). The Duchess graced Ealing Studios with her heavily pregnant presence for an afternoon, meeting series creator Julian Fellowes, Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes) and Michelle Dockery (the icy Lady Mary). Kate also made sure to scope out Downton's prop situation and makeup trailers, and was even permitted into the — gasp — servant's quarters to watch a scene being filmed for the show's forthcoming sixth season.

The dish: Artichoke and smoked salmon tea sandwiches, just in case you hadn't had your fill of AnglophiliaGet the recipe here.
