Would you donate to a breast milk bank? It's a question you may one day have to ponder, as some Canadian doctors are pushing for the storage of human breast milk in theoretical milk banks. They say stored milk can be used to save the lives of premature babies, born before their mothers can produce a sufficient amount. Seven percent of the 250,000 babies born each year in Canada are premature, and breast milk offers many important health and development benefits to newborns.

If it seems to you like lately American politics are a bit of a joke, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's Rally to Restore Sanity this past weekend likely did little to remedy the situation. The Comedy Central mock-news anchors hosted the Washington D.C. rally this past Saturday in an effort to restore some sanity to the American political system and the media that covers it. The event was part comedy shtick, part rock concert, and part serious bipartisan plea for reason in the face of the extremist ideologies that are dividing the country. Various news sources estimated the crowd at around 200,000, thought Colbert was more generous, claiming via Twitter that it was somewhere in the ballpark of “six billion.” Check out an amazing gallery of the many creative and hilarious homemade rally signs here.

Though there'll be no more daily commune with the queen of talk once her show goes off the air at the end of this season, but you can bet we'll still be getting a healthy dose of Oprah in our lives, and she promises it will be "bitch"-free. Oprah's new network – aptly named the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) – will hit the airwaves this coming January 1. The queen herself took to the stage at Maria Shriver's Women's Conference in California and announced that her cable network will be "fun and entertaining without tearing people down and calling them bitches. Imagine that. Imagine." We are imagining it Oprah, and we can hardly wait.
