While I was out doing my summer sale shopping, I found these beautiful dinnerware pieces. Not only are they inexpensive, but they are practical too — perfect for outdoor dining and durable enough to be thrown into the dishwasher afterwards.

The plate designs are so pretty that you'll be tempted to put them on display. Personally, I've been thinking about creating some decorative art by hanging one or two of these colourful plates on my kitchen wall. Another idea would be to use them as catch-all trays on a foyer table to place your keys or mail on.

Marimekko 11" plates, $5 each, Crate&Barrel.
