On Friday I became inspired while visiting Pistil flowers in downtown Toronto and when I got home, I took a good long look at my un-inspired amaryllis, in its green supermarket container, and decided it was time to start practicing what I preach.
Here's a before shot:
I looked in the back corners of my pantry to find a soup tureen that is part of an antique china set I received from my husband's grandmother. I've actually never used it as it scares me, although I find it quite beautiful.
But, I repotted the bulb into the tureen, and topped the whole thing off with some pine cones. I didn't have any moss at home or I would have added a little of that as well.
Here's the result:
I feel like I've taken an eight dollar flower and made it look like a $100 gift. Not that I have any intention of parting with it now that it looks so fab!
