Create a cozy and relaxed atmosphere by bringing things like carpets, pillows, and poufs outside. This works particularly well on a deck and will add pattern and colour to your party.
Create a pretty table centrepiece with this surprisingly simple flower-in-a-bottle idea. Recycle your old glass bottles and turn them into vases; group them randomly on the table or hang them from a branch or wire with some twine.
Try making a DIY chalkboard platter — it's perfect for serving up your favourite cheeses, crackers, cookies, or whatever else you like! Reminder: Only use porcelain chalkboard paint for this project, available at most art stores, such as Currys, in Canada.

Go old school with a Mason jar-inspired drink dispenser. Keep kids (and adults!) refreshed by topping juice with sparkling water for a deliciously fizzy beverage.

For a cool country feel, cover the table in a quilt and hang string lights to create relaxed and comfy ambience.
When the night starts to wind down, lend everyone a throw blanket to tackle the breeze. We love these imported wool-blend blankets from Peru. Perfectly soft, luxurious, and they come in the most beautiful colour combinations.

These porcelain dotted hurricanes can add just the right amount of ambience to an evening party. Place them on top of a mirror tabletop to achieve a pretty reflection, and a little extra shine.

This bunting is so easy to make — simply find some old scraps of fabric and sew them over a string of baker’s twine, then drape them above the table, or between some trees. For beautiful day-to-evening ambience, wrap twinkly lights around the twine. The result is pretty, vintage charm.
If you’re not a fan of the vintage vibe, hang up a modern planter, instead. This geometric planter is inspired by a Finnish tradition — the ornament is meant to be hung up at the beginning of winter to bring good fortune. But it certainly makes for beautiful minimalist décor year-round!
