I was wondering...

Is your vagina feeling sluggish? Worn down? Well, Today's Daily pH Balance Vaginal Vitamin C Tablets won't cure those delta blues, but they may help prevent bacterial vaginosis (BV), a recurring problem down south. BV is caused by an imbalance of healthy bacteria in the vagina, resulting in a greyish discharge and fishy odour. Traditionally, it's been treated with antibiotics, and that's still the preferred method by most doctors. However, Toronto gynecologist Alvin Pettle says taking vitamin C vaginally (Today suggests once a day for six days immediately following your period) may help prevent bv by keeping your vaginal pH levels balanced. Just don't confuse the vaginal version with your orange-flavoured chewables: the former is encased in silicone to reduce irritation.
