Petra is the founder of Eve-Volution Inc, B Corp certified, lean, collaborative and networked enterprise which helps co-working spaces, startup ecosystems, incubators, accelerators, and innovators succeed while by working to advance gender equity and inclusion in the entrepreneurship and innovation space. Services include gender analysis, market feasibility studies, research, strategic planning, executive advisory services, program design, and program execution. Eve-volution also publishes LiisBeth, a fast growing, authoritative, online/offline community, and magazine for those interested in entrepreneurial feminism and/or leveraging insights from feminist leadership and business practices. Before serving as Executive Director of the Imagination Catalyst at OCAD U, Petra was also the first Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of  Guelph, plus Founder and CEO of the awarding winning Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Company. Petra had an 18-year career as a senior publishing executive in New York and Toronto, including seven years as President, McGraw-Hill Ryerson Higher Education Group. She is deeply committed to playing a role in reshaping how business operates in society and is an active advocate for women and women identified entrepreneurs. Petra brings 15 years of public and private enterprise board experience including Vice-Chair of the Petra Board at OCAD; Guelph College of Management and Economics Advisory Board; Queen’s Centre for Responsible Leadership; the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Rotman School of Management; the Canadian Nature Conservancy (National Board), and ZooShare.ca.
