London Town look

The Brits have laid-back street style down pat, and manage to do it so effortlessly. The London Town look is never schlumpy and always stylish. Fearne Cotton, a U.K. television and radio presenter (who also has her own fashion line and a beauty collection for Boots) was spotted leaving BBC Radio One dressed down in denim and Chelsea boots and topped off her laid-back ensemble with a classic double-breasted camel coat. It's a Notting Hill-worthy look.

Splurge vs. steal coat

A classic camel coat is always a great investment, and we've found two equally stylish double-breasted option at the low and high price point. Wear your topper beyond the work week, dressed down with denim and ankle boots.

Splurge: Reefer coat in camel, $895, Smythe, Eluxe

Best of Britain

Originally created for Queen Victoria in the early 1800s, this ankle-length boot has gone from royalty to the road. It's the perfect boot for inclement weather and for wearing with your jeans tucked in. Instead of black opt for an aubergine hue.

Get it: Chelsea boot, $122, Ted Baker, Asos

Bees knees

And when choosing your skinny denims, pick a light wash that won't compete with the oversize, light-coloured coat.
