Blow dry

1. Prep and prime

"It starts in the shower with a 3-step clean" says Chegenie. Start with an exfoliating shampoo, followed by a hydrating shampoo and then a quick condition (on the ends only). Look for products that are paraban and sulphate free.

Invati Exfoliating Shampoo , $30, Aveda.
Dry Remedy Moisturizing Shampoo, $32, Aveda
Dry Remedy Moisturizing Conditioner, $32, Aveda.

2. Keep hands off

The number one rule to sustain you salon worthy hair is: Don't touch it. Heat and oil from your hands will lead to greasy roots and flat hair. If you must fuss with it, use a wide tooth comb.

Sephora Collection Tidy Detangling Comb, $10, Sephora.

3. Do a daily fresh fix

Use a dry shampoo or texturizing spray daily at the roots to lift the hair and absorb any oil.

Pantene Pro-V Blowout Extend Dry Shampoo, $6, Well.
Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo, $5, Walmart.
Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray, $26, Sephora.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, $44, Holt Renfrew.

4.Practice safe touch ups

If your hair gets wet or sweaty (say...post work out) set the blow dryer to cool and target only the problematic patches.

5.Sleep with ease

Keep hair away from your neck and face while sleeping by pinning it up in a light bun or twist.
