Behind the scenes at Glenarm Castle

Our style team took in the breathtaking beauty, ancient legends and stunning castles of Northern Ireland — what more could you ask for?

The day started at 6 a.m., when we drove in the heavy morning rain to Glenarm Castle, one of Northern Ireland’s oldest estates. We were travelling along the picturesque Causeway Coastal Route (a must-see): emerald-green glens, the rough Atlantic, ancient bridges, pristine rivers and quaint fishing villages, each with a story to tell.

When we arrived at our destination, the clouds slowly parted; this is a place where you need both your raincoat and your sunglasses every day.

The majestic castle and its walled garden are straight out of a storybook, and we spent the day with visions of mischievous fairies, brave knights and vengeful giants in our heads. Aye, it was grand!
