Sophie La Giraffe is to teething babies what avocados are to foodies: they're trendy and great to nibble on. Anyone who’s a parent or has visited parents in recent months will recognize the rosy-cheeked, 100 percent natural rubber giraffe, which has legit cult status in the baby world.
Now the popular toy has inspired a line of bath products, including a body lotion, bubble bath, face cream, protection cream, baby oil, and hair and body wash, available for the first time in Canada at Holt Renfrew.

Following the wholesome reputation of the toy, the cosmetics range is vegan, ecological and contains at least 99.4 percent natural ingredients (prices range from $26 to $36).
Sophie La Girafe was created in 1961 by French toymaker Monsieur Rampeau using natural sap from a hevea tree. It was an immediate success among parents who needed something teething babies could bite, grab onto and play with. The makers went on to eventually sell millions around the world and, to this day, the toy looks exactly as it did 55 years ago.
