Here's what we suggest you do with leftover prunes

Rich prune sauce Boil 1 cup with 1/2 cup each brown sugar and water and a cinnamon stick. Simmer until syrupy, about 15 min. Serve over oatmeal or ice cream.

Sweet and savoury pilfat Chop and stir into cooked basmati rice along with chopped walnuts and fresh thyme. Serve with roast pork.
