Crisp fritters

Whisk 3/4 cup cornmeal with 1/2 cup milk, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp each garam masala and garlic powder and 1/4 tsp salt. Stir in 1 thinly sliced onion. Pan-fry heaping tbsps of batter in oil until crisp.

DIY everything bagels

Roll out pizza dough 1/2 in. thick on a floured surface. Cut out bagels with a doughnut cutter. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with finely chopped onion, coarse salt, sesame and poppy seeds. Set on a baking sheet. Bake at 350F until golden-brown, 25 min.
