Ruby dessert
Boil 1/2 cup berries with 1 cup port and 1/4 cup sugar until thick and syrupy. Serve warm over ice cream.
Glam applesauce
Simmer with a chopped apple, honey and a pinch of ginger or cloves. Puree.
