Want to get a sneak peek into how the Chatelaine Kitchen develops and tests recipes? Ready to get your hands dirty and cook with us? If you live in the Greater Toronto Area, come on down to Taste of Toronto July 3 at 3 p.m. for the Metro Master Class with Chatelaine Food Director Claire Tansey and Kitchen Apprentice Louisa Clements.

We will be talking all about peaches — how to pick them, prep them and cook them into an amazing chutney. Plus, we will answer your questions about food, recipes and life in the test kitchen (it’s true, we’re already working on Christmas recipes). Cook alongside us and make your own jar of fresh peach and date chutney to take home and enjoy.

Taste of Toronto’s Metro Master Class offers visitors the unique opportunity to pick up hints, tips and techniques from some of the world’s leading chefs in a series of interactive cooking demonstrations. Places are free of charge and on a first come basis, so be sure to visit early to avoid missing out.

The Chatelaine Kitchen Apprentice program, in partnership with Metro, brings a young food lover into the test kitchen to learn the fundamentals of fresh ingredients and seasonal cooking. Follow Louisa’s blog here.
