Why Claire made monkey bread on BT this morning!

We were at Holland Bloorview, an amazing kids’ rehab centre, cooking and talking about their Change for Kids program. Not only do trick-or-treaters get to help kids with disabilities, but they also get chances to win amazing prizes.

I was on Breakfast TV today having fun for a good cause. We were at Holland Bloorview, an amazing kids’ rehab centre, cooking and talking about their Change for Kids program. Remember how we used to collect pennies on Halloween? Change for Kids is the new generation of penny boxes. Not only do trick-or-treaters get to help kids with disabilities, but they also get chances to win amazing prizes. Talk about win-win.

Speaking of awesome, I got the kids to help me make Monkey Bread, an all-time Chatelaine Kitchen favourite. It’s like a cake made of tiny baked cinnamon doughnuts. Yum! Every time we tested it, the whole thing got devoured in no time. And not only is it delicious, but it’s so fun to make, especially with kids. Just make an easy sweet dough, then get everyone to help rolling the dough into little balls. Dip in butter and cinnamon sugar, then bake, glaze and enjoy! It’s the perfect treat for Halloween (or anytime).
