Here's what we suggest you do with leftover beans

black beans, leftover ingredients, beans

Black beans:

Summer salsa

Combine with minced garlic, diced red onion, mango and avocado. Season with red-wine vinegar and olive oil. Serve with tortilla chips.

Refried beans
Mash and mix with chili powder, garlic powder, cumin and salt. Cook in a frying pan over medium. Add 2 tsp oil and 1/3 cup water . Cook until bubbly, 5 min. Serve with quesadillas.

Romano beans, canned:

Modern tuna melt
Combine 1/2 cup with a can of tuna, some chili-garlic sauce and lemon juice. Heap on a bun, top with a slice of aged cheddar and broil until golden brown.

Five-minute veggie curry
Sauté chopped onions, minced ginger and Indian curry paste for 3 min. Add beans and cook for 2 more min. Serve with naan.
