An easy way to warm-up a crowd of guests!
750 mL dry red wine
1/3 cup granulated sugar
10 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1/8 tsp allspice
1 long strip clementine peel, avoid white pith
Stir wine with sugar and spices in a saucepan over medium. Adjust heat so wine heats up but doesn't simmer, allowing flavours to infuse, about 15 min. Add peel for the last 5 min of infusing. Strain and serve warm with clementine slices.
