A quick bake makes won-ton wrappers crisp and golden, perfect for dipping in our Asian guacamole.

Ingredients

  • cooking spray

  • 12 squares store-bought wonton wrappers

  • generous pinches salt, preferably course

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F (200C). Arrange oven racks in top and bottom thirds of oven. Lightly spray 2 baking sheets with cooking spray. Stack won-ton wrappers on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, cut diagonally through wrappers to form two stacks of triangles.

  • Separate wrappers, then spread out on baking sheets. Lightly spray tops of wrappers with cooking spray. Using your fingers, crimp to form crinkly shapes. Generously sprinkle with salt. Bake in top and bottom of preheated oven until deep golden brown, 4 to 6 min. Switch sheets halfway through baking. Cool completely on baking sheet. If making ahead, cooled dippers will keep well, stored in an airtight container, up to 3 days.
