1 tsp vegetable oil
2 store-bought frozen burgers, such as sirloin burgers
2 tsp chopped canned chipotle peppers
1 tbsp grated parmesan
1/4 cup dry red wine
Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan set over medium-high heat. Place frozen burgers in pan. Cook until lightly browned on one side, about 5 minutes. Turn burgers and spread with chipotle peppers. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Add wine to pan, cover and cook for 4 minutes. Remove burgers. Let wine boil until thick enough to coat burgers, about 1 minute, stirring to incorporate brown bits from pan. Spoon over burgers. Great with potatoes and Caesar salad.
