Who says salsa has to be tomato-based? Try this fruity version instead.
3 cups chopped blackberries
1 shallot, minced
1 finely chopped jalapeño, seeds discarded
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
2 tbsp lime juice
1/4 tsp salt
MASH blackberries gently in a small bowl until juices are released. Stir in shallot, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Serve with tortilla chips.
