1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
1 lime
2 tsp Tabasco sauce
Place butter in a small bowl. Grate in 2 tsp (10 mL) peel from lime. Stir in Tabasco until evenly mixed. Scrape onto a piece of plastic wrap. Form into a log and tightly roll up. Twist ends and refrigerate just until firm or up to 1 month. To use, slice butter into small rounds.

Make flavoured butter a summer staple. It takes a minute or two to stir up, but it keeps in the fridge for weeks. A slice will add a ton of taste to veggies or grilled chicken or fish.
Follow recipe above but replace lime and Tabasco with:
* 2 tsp (10 mL) wasabi paste and 1 tsp (5 mL) finely chopped fresh mint
* 2 tsp (10 mL) honey and 1 tsp (5 mL) curry paste
* 2 tsp (10 mL) hot chili-garlic sauce
