Wasabi Caesar

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp wasabi paste

  • 1/3 cup vodka

  • 1 1/2 cups chilled Clamato juice

  • 4 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce, optional

  • 2 stalks leafy celery

Instructions

  • Place wasabi in a small bowl. Pour in vodka. Stir until blended. Pour into a large pitcher. Stir in Clamato, lemon juice, Worcestershire and pepper. Stir in Tabasco. Fill 2 tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour in Caesar mixture and add leafy celery stalks for stirring.

Hot tip

Wasabi, or Japanese horseradish, has a sharp pungent flavour. It's sold as a paste or powder in the Asian section of grocery stores. To use the powder, mix it with enough water to form a paste. Watch out--a little goes a long way!
