The world's most popular podcast is back! The first episode of the second season of Serial appeared suddenly this morning, much to the delight of the fans who obsessively followed its first season, which explored whether Adnan Syed was responsible for the murder of his high-school ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. This season will investigate the strange circumstances surrounding Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's disappearance from his Army post in Afghanistan and the five years he spent held captive by the Taliban. As news began spread of the episode's arrival, Twitter got very excited:
They just dropped the first episode of @Serial Season 2 this morning like it was a new Beyonce album.

The real mystery we all need to get to the bottom of this season is how Sarah Koenig is just able to call up the Taliban like nbd. #Serial — Rachel Villegas (@hernamesrachel) December 10, 2015
Anyway, it's time for us to all feel vaguely bad for using someone else's tragedy for water cooler entertainment. #Serial
