For curling towards Olympic glory: Curling skip Rachel Homan has had, by all accounts, a stellar year: She won her third national title and picked up her first international title. And though her team suffered a devastating loss in the 2013 Olympic trials, the Ottawa native’s foursome clinched a big win at December’s Roar of the Rings, qualifying them for an Olympic spot in next year’s PyeongChang Games.
