When you feel overwhelmed, it’s easy to focus on everything outside of you as a way to make yourself feel more grounded, but that just doesn’t work. Take this self-care challenge this week: whenever you feel emotionally sticky, take a deep breath and check in with your body. Notice where your emotions are located in your body, and feel them.
