The news: Don Cherry had some harsh words this week for Leafs fans who angrily throw jerseys on the ice after home-game losses. “They’re jerks,” said the former Hockey Night in Canada host. “I cannot believe that people sit beside them and watch them throw. They’re creeps, as far as I’m concerned.” The blue-and-white have had a pretty rough go lately, losing 14 of their last 17 games and parting ways with head coach Randy Carlyle on Jan. 6. It appears Cherry won’t kick the Leafs when they’re down; he’d probably advocate a cross-check or two on their behalf, though.

The dish: Jazzy Jerk Burgers. A classic burger with a fiery edge, these Caribbean-inspired patties are laced with cayenne and spicy peppers. A side of cool coleslaw takes the edge off. Get the recipe here
