Today, as we gear up for a year of 85th anniversary celebrations, Chatelaine unveils a fresh new logo on all of our multiple platforms including our website and four colourful versions of our May issue. All four covers will be equally distributed on newsstands and alternately sent to subscribers.
For the design nerds out there, the name of the font we have chosen is Neutraface 2, a strong sans serif, which, just like Chatelaine's readers, is modern and stylish with a good measure of substance. (Check out this hilarious YouTube video giving tribute to the Neutraface font). Another fun fact about our logo is that it's bilingual — the stylized circumflex on the "A" means it works in both English and for our French sister publication in Montreal.
Chatelaine has gone through many looks and many logos over the past 85 years and we never tire of flipping through the archives. If you would like to see more of our illustrious 85-year past, click here: Our favourite covers from the past 85 years.
