The Chatelaine Book Club recently co-hosted Gurjinder Basran at an event for Everything Was Good-Bye, her debut novel and our April pick.

Over wine and cheese, Gurjinder treated book lovers to a reading from the first chapter of her novel, and discussed everything from her inspiration for the book to her take on multiculturalism in Canada and her writing process. She also graciously signed copies of Everything Was Good-Bye for guests and chatted with us about her love of fiction long into the evening.

The Chatelaine Book Club is thrilled to have met Gurjinder and we'd like to thank Penguin Canada for co-hosting the wonderful event with us at their office. We'd also like to thank Lifford Wine Agency for providing Frescobaldi Albizzia Chardonnay and red wine from Laurent Miquel for guests. Stay tuned for more events like this in the future from the Book Club!
