Zara Home opens in Canada and we were there!

Last week our home editors were excited to check out Zara Home's first store in Canada and they weren't disappointed. Here are just a few of things that inspired them from the collection of bed, bath and table linens, tableware, home accessories and more.

Zara Home has opened in Canada!

Last week, our associate home editor Julia Black was at the opening of the first-ever Zara Home store in North America at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto. The next store to open is in Laval, Quebec on August 29th. If you're not in the Toronto or Laval area, not to worry -- the global retailer has launched its Canadian e-commerce site, so you'll be able to shop their products across country. Note: To celebrate their online shopping site they are offering free shipping across Canada until September 30th.

About Zara Home: Their home collections are about 70 percent textile based: bed, bath and table linens, as well as cushions and throws. You can also shop their tableware, storage baskets, picture frames, and furnishings. And with new items welcomed into the store and online every two weeks, there's always something to look forward to. The beginning

Created in 2003, Zara Home launched 26 stores in its first year, 22 of which were in Spain (the founding country), two in Portugal, one in the UK and one in Greece.

Online stores

The Zara Home brand launched their online sales in 2007 in 14 European countries. Then in 2012, Zara Home launched its online store to the United States.

Inside scoop

In 2009 Zara Home opened an “Eco-Efficient” store in Barcelona – the first retail store in Europe with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. The Zara Home brand includes a Zara Home Kids collection, offering bedding, nursery accessories, sleeware, plush toys, food storage, and much more.

O Canada!

This year Zara Home opens it’s first retail location in North America at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto, followed by Laval Quebec. Canada is the 38th country for Zara Home to call home.
