Faking it!
I’ll be the first to admit that I dream of living in a centuries-old apartment or house in Europe somewhere. Who wouldn’t want to surround themselves with all that grandeur – maybe not forever but for a little while! Many of these spaces are noted for their attention to detail – mouldings and trim can add a lot to the architecture of a room, making it feel unique and special. Luckily you can fake this look with the addition of some store-bought lumber. Check out this post which not only gives you a great online source for purchasing a DIY door moulding kit but provides great inspiration as well.

Make coffee (or wine) art
Jan over at Poppytalk always has the best DIY tutorials. This one uses coffee or you could even use tea or wine to make a beautiful piece of DIY art that looks like something you would pay big bucks for. The step-by-step process is clearly outlined making this project a cinch to make. Get the instructions.

A sweet escape
Take a little look at this home tour over on Sharalee Mushore’s blog Escapade. The home has many beautiful moments, but it's the picture of this bedroom with butterfly wallpaper, blue velvet bedspread and collection of teal pottery that really speaks to me. Definitely a room to escape to!
