Four ways colourful, painted chairs make a room pop

Painted chairs

Think pastel

Pretty pastel bentwood chairs add personality to an otherwise neutral palette. Continue the colour scheme with accessories like flowers, candlesticks, stacks of books and objets.

A simple trick

Colour in the kitchen is a hot trend right now. One smart way to experiment with the look is painting your kitchen chairs a bright colour. Notice how everything else is white, yet there is loads of personality?

In every room

Chairs are one of the best double-duty furniture pieces around because they can go from kitchen seating to bedside table, to a front hall storage spot. We painted this one a cheery red for an upbeat welcome in and entry hallway.
