Captivated by a whimsical paper mobile from first-rate blogger Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day, we created our own version. It’s perfect for any celebration, from New Year’s to birthdays, showers and weddings. Simply cut sheets of heavy coloured paper into long strips about 1 inch thick, then line them up in the colour arrangement you want (we mixed ours up, but a subtle colour gradation looks nice as well). Next, feed the strips through your sewing machine to link them together, making sure to leave about a foot of thread at the top. Finish by attaching a metal washer to weight the bottom.
