Supplies

  • A cardboard or Styrofoam wreath form (or go full DIY by cutting a wreath shape out of an old cardboard box)
  • Royal-icing mix or homemade royal icing
  • Gumdrops
  • Ribbon
  • Screws
  • Picture-hanging wire
  • A low-heat hot-glue gun

Instructions

  1. Prepare the royal icing.
  2. Working in sections, apply a thin layer of icing to the wreath form and push the gumdrops into the icing. Allow the icing to dry before moving on to the next section. Work on the top first, then the sides. Finish with a satin ribbon.
  3. Sink screws into Styrofoam with hot glue. Stretch a wire between screws to create a hanger.
