The subject of this post has absolutely nothing to do with cancer, other than to possibly try to keep it in perspective: I have a rather macabre mental list of Things That Are Worse Than Having Cancer (it keeps me from feeling sorry for myself) and being a victim of the Haitian Earthquake is on that list. Of course it's not just me – everyone has Haiti on the brain these days, which is exactly where it must stay until the international community has stabilized that country in a lasting and meaningful way.
