There is always good and bad in everything that happens. I have had my first chemo session and am about to have my second. The good news is it seems to be working. The bad news is that my numbers aren't as low as I had hoped. But, we focus on the positive – the numbers went down and it is working. I am receiving a new drug that is supposed to prolong periods of remission. The bad news is that I am going to have to go into debt to finance it. My lifestyle is definitely going to have to change. But, we focus on the positive – I have access to this new drug and I can afford to finance it (sort of). The better news is that it should give me a longer period of health between treatments, and so on....with the good comes the bad. But we have to remember, with the bad there is always good and we have to focus on that. Silver lining and all that – it is what keeps us going every day.

On another note, I am fundraising for Princess Margaret's Disco Days and Boogie Nights. If you would like to sponsor me, please click here. I'm not doing aWEARness this year so I feel like this is my one shot to raise money for the hospital this year. Please help if you can – or even better go to the event yourselves. It sounds like it is going to be soooooooo amazing!!!
