I saw my doctor today and got my first set of results since starting the clinical trial six weeks ago — and they were positive. Now I continue with this course of treatment and keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't stop working.

After taking some much-needed time for herself, and her healing, Elana is back with an update on how things are progressing and what she's celebrating this summer.

It's spring, which means everyone is busy getting out from under winter. Passover and Easter are here, cottages are being prepared for the summer, kids are making their plans for camp, events are being planned and people are generally looking forward to the wonderful times that summer has to offer.

We spend so much time and energy trying to guess what's going on in someone else's head, and we often jump to the worst conclusions. I have a habit of doing this everywhere in my life - from friends and family to work associates - and it definitely highlights some of my more neurotic tendencies.

I can't imagine I'll ever outgrow the current of excitement that runs down my spine when I wake up on Christmas morning.
