0
500 g ground beef
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 cup tomato sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar, optional
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, optional
1 tsp Tabasco sauce, optional
2 soft buns, split in half
grated cheddar
sliced avocados
Lightly coat a large frying pan with oil and set over medium heat. Add beef and garlic, then sprinkle with seasonings. Cook until no longer pink, 5 to 6 min, using a fork to break up meat occasionally. Meanwhile, prepare pepper and stir in.
Pour in pasta sauce. Taste, and if it is not sweet enough, add sugar. Stir in Worcestershire and Tabasco. Simmer, uncovered and stirring often, until mixture begins to thicken, about 2 min. Place half of a bun on each plate. Top with meat mixture, then grated cheese and avocado slices. Leftover sauce will keep well, covered and refrigerated, for at least 1 day.
