We took inspiration from a mint julep for this sparkling cocktail that works at any time of the year.
4 leaves of fresh mint
2 tbsp whisky
1 tsp granulated sugar
sparkling wine
In a bowl, crush mint leaves in whisky. Stir in sugar. Pour into a champagne flute and top up with sparkling wine made by the méthode champenoise. Do not use Prosecco; it won't be bubbly enough.
