Rose coloured glasses cocktail

Chatelaine Triple Tested

Sip on a sweet and fruity summer quencher created by Micah Jensen, the cocktail king behind RauDZ bar in Kelowna, B.C.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup amber spiced rum

  • 1/4 cup Rosy simple syrup*

  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • raspberries, for garnish

Instructions

  • COMBINE all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 seconds, then pour into a hurricane glass. Top with ice and garnish with fresh raspberries.

* To make syrup: Bring 1/4 cup each granulates sugar and water and 1 cinnamon stick to a boil. Cool, then stir in 1 tbsp rosewater, 2 tbsp pureéd raspberries and 3/4 tsp vanilla. Strain before using.
