Live a longer life by being more social

It's starting, isn't it? The dreaded feeling that you have too many holiday events to attend, too many people to see and too many demands on your time. And I bet you think I'm going to tell you it's just fine to cancel or say no. Well, not this year. In fact, I'm going against the grain by saying, "Keep those dates in your calendar!" Let me explain: I'm fascinated by centenarians and what they do to stay healthy and live longer. Experts agree people who feel they're part of a community and who make it a priority to see friends and family are happier and enjoy a lengthy life. So go to that company Christmas party or your annual girlfriends' dinner. And remember this: The effort just may add years to your life!
