Fashion Targets Breast Cancer

By Kate
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer

"Fight breast cancer in style", reads the tagline for the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign with Rethink Breast Cancer. Inspired by Ralph Lauren in the early '90s, celebrities including supermodels, singers and actors have donned the shirt to raise money and awareness about cancer and breast health. This year in Canada, the T-shirt in partnership with Rethink, was officially launched at a media party in Toronto on Tuesday. The target tees are being sold in partnership with Joe Fresh, so they are available across the country and all net proceeds go to Rethink for their work on awareness, medical research, and support for women who are diagnosed. Check out the Style section of our June issue (with handsome Jamie Oliver on the front) for a full history of the iconic fashion statement. The shirts are already on shelves at Joe Fresh Style for $12. So buy your own, wear it fashionably, and show your support, especially on Fashion Targets Friday, this May 29th. Check out the very moving Living With Breast Cancer blog for some insight and hope about living with the disease.
