Take a cue from Brigitte Bardot, the cat-eye queen, and wear this retro-style with a minimal face for a timeless beauty look.
Step 1: Starting from the centre of your eye and moving outwards, use a liquid liner to draw an angled line along the upper lashes.
Step 2: Continue drawing the winged line until just below the end of your eyebrow so it's pointing up towards the end of the brow.
Step 3: Connect the end of the winged line to the outer corner of your eye and fill in any empty space between the two lines.
Step 4: From the inside corner of your eye, draw a thin line until you reach the centre, connecting it to where you initially started creating your cat eye.
Step 5: Finish your look by curling your lashes and adding a coat of mascara.

Bonus tip: Make sure to have some Q-tips and makeup remover handy to clean up any missteps (and there will be some at the beginning).

Nothing makes a statement like a bold red pout. Here's how to make your lipstick stay put from the countdown on.
Step 1: Gently buff your lips with a warm, damp wash cloth. Apply a balm to moisturize and give it some time to absorb.
Step 2: Carefully line the entire lip with a pencil or lip liner using quick, short strokes. This base is what gives your lip colour its lasting power.
Step 3: Apply one layer of your go-to red lipstick all over your lips.
Step 4: Blot your lips and reapply the lipstick.
Step 5: Finally, touch up any uneven lines with the pencil.

Beauty trend: We’re loving a matte red lip at the moment because the formulas tend to last longer.
