Packed with flavour, texture and festive colour, this (mostly) store-bought appetizer can be an indulgent treat to others—and to yourself.
450 g pkg Sobey's Compliments Frozen Butter puff pastry
1/4 cup Sobey's Compliments pesto
1/4 cup finely grated pecorino-romano cheese
freshly ground pepper, to season
Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 425F. Line two baking sheets with foil. Working with one pastry sheet at a time, unroll a thawed puff pastry sheet onto counter. Spread pesto evenly over sheet. Sprinkle over cheese. Season with pepper. Press gently.
Cut pastry into 1/2-in. strips. Twist the two ends of each strip in opposite directions a few times, then lay strips on prepared sheets, 1 in. apart.
Bake until golden brown, 10 to 13 min. Repeat with remaining pastry sheet, pesto and cheese.
