The news: In every age, there's a single, galvanizing experience that defines a generation — for some, it was World War II; for others, Watergate. In Gen Y's case, it's #TheDress. The web broke Kim Kardashian–style on Thursday after one Tumblr user uploaded a photo of a frilly, bodycon dress with the caption "guys please help me – is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree and we are freaking the f*** out.” Before you could say "viral," the entire Internet — including Taylor Swift and Mindy Kaling — was split into two dress-colour camps. Of course, there's a perfectly logical scientific explanation as to why some users saw a light or darkened version of the same sheath. (Sidenote: Eyeballs are complicated.) But the fact that an innocent meme can cause everyone question the very nature of reality is pretty much the most #2015 thing ever.

The dish: Blueberry blintzes baked until golden. Consider this our attempt as a cheese and yogurt–stuffed compromise. Get the recipe here.
