Lora tweeted a charitable campaign

Who are you: Lora Grady, Assistant Editor, Copy and Research

What was your kindness deed: I tweeted about Plan Canada’s Because I Am A Girl Campaign, because I truly believe in the cause. An extra year of school for girls increases their lifetime income by 15 percent, and children of women who have completed primary school are less likely to die before age 5 than children of mothers with no schooling.

Why did you want to do this: A 140-word tweet could give someone the idea of giving a charitable donation this season and I really believe in the Because I Am A Girl campaign. Females worldwide deserve the same rights that we have. It sounds cheesy, but it’s true: a small act that took less than a minute could end up making a huge difference in the life of a girl halfway across the world.

How did it make you feel: It made me hopeful; even if only one person clicked on the link to donate, it would make a difference.
